Title: HR Manager
Location: Toronto, Canada
1. POSITION SUMMARY
? Enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
? Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
? Support organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
? Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
? Enforce management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
2. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Manage individual and company-wide compensation and budget plan by conducting periodic surveys; manage performance review process; recommend, plan, and implementing total compensation package (salary, bonus, benefits, long-term incentive, etc.) and coordinate payroll services with supplier
? Oversee talent acquisition process, which includes posting jobs, reviewing resumes, interviewing performing reference checks and extending offers of employment.
? Manage employee relations related to human resources issues, rules, and regulations
? Develop and implement HR policies and procedures accordingly.
? Identify individual and organizational development needs and implement effective solutions.
? Manage all aspects of employee relations (from talent acquisition to exit interviews).
? Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed
? Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.
? Manage and periodically review the employee benefits (STD, LTD, AD&D, Life Insurance, Dental, Medical, RRSP-retirement plan, etc.). This includes provider review and make changes if needed.
? Administering on-the-job training programs
? Develop and administer health and safety programs
? Conducting all required General Affairs/Admin/Office management related duties for business operations
3. WORK EXPERIENCE
? 7+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles
? Work experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred
4. SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
? Bilingualism is preferred (English and French)
? Highly developed for teamwork skills.
? Ability to increase productivity and contributions to the business goal
? Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and employee development
? Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
