Description

We are working with a pioneering medical device company that has developed a compact haemodialysis system for use both in the home and clinic. Their innovative device provides greater flexibility and provides more convenience and control over the delivery of life-sustaining renal replacement theory

Key Responsibilities

Project Performance, Development of Staff and Resourcing:
- Responsible for the coordinated management of all overall project pipeline in alignment with overall business goals
- Tracks and reports on project performance, providing a real time comprehensive and prioritised view of all projects
- Responsible for providing critical information for coordinating the allocation optimisation and sharing of resources among constituent programs / projects
- Supports teams to prepare for phase gate and other go / no-go decisions by executive leadership, ensuring that decisions are informed by a balanced and clearly articulated representation of the relevant data
- Ensure business and technical lessons learned are disseminated, reviewed and applied where appropriate
- In conjunction with Project Managers and functional managers, develops a staffing and development plan across all platform projects to ensure appropriate resourcing for projects
- Will work with the Project Managers to drive the right rigour in planning, execution and governance for the projects in the PMO
- People Management, leadership, direction, mentoring/coaching of the Project Managers


Cross functional Management/ Platform Support:
- Works with the Project Managers to assess cross-functional project team capability and defines specific improvement actions and training needs to improve collaborative development and project results
- Partners with functional leaders in assessing and developing Core Team talent
- Drives alignment of strategy/strategic imperatives with portfolio planning
- Drives continuous process improvements in strategic and portfolio planning
- Will act as the Chief of Staff to the CEO helping the CEO set the agenda for key Executive Management Meetings, help manage the meetings, record and distribute minutes as needed

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and have significant business and project leadership experience in life sciences or MedTech
- Demonstrated success in leading product development projects from initiation through to commercialisation
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive project management experience
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent (APMP, MSP, PMP)
- Working (practice level) knowledge of project planning and management best practices applied to Life sciences/ MedTech product development
- Team and organisational leadership
- Customer value driven product design and delivery
- Project risk and trade-offs management (running multiple projects through PMO simultaneously)
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Cross-functional collaboration and influence
