The second quarter of the year has proven once again to be the best yet in Concilium’s history by quite some distance, with both our permanent and contract teams making significant improvements on their Q1 results (46% increase in net sales across the board from what was already our most profitable first quarter to date).

One point of note is that this improvement has been achieved with the addition of only 1 FTE within our sales team. However, some exceptional new hires within our back-office team have helped contribute enormously to our collective success; their commitment and hard work has played, and will continue to play, a huge part in our progression.

Looking forwards, it is exciting to think what the immediate future holds with our 9 new Associates joining in August at our Headquarters in London, alongside our established and dedicated team already in place. Under the constant guidance of CEO, Maduka Okeke, our priority will continue to be on the development of our contracts business with the goal of reaching a 70% / 30% split in their favour within the next 12 months; something our permanent team will be sure to make difficult with their consistent evolution.

Looking further afield, our New York office will be officially opening at the end of July with three of our Partners relocating over to the US. Oliver Harrison, Samuel Deane and Daniel Jeffery have all been a part of Concilium since its inception in 2015 and proved their calibre time and time again for us over the years. Together, they are a formidable proposition and we would like to wish them all the best with the move and adventure that lies ahead.

Equally, we are delighted to confirm the opening of our Amsterdam office at the end of 2018. Due to the heavy workload we have in the Netherlands specifically and Europe as a whole, this presence on the continent is an absolute necessity for us. Two of our senior consultants have already been selected to lead this move and have been instrumental in getting us to this point already.

More information to come in due course….

Outside of the office Concilium has been busy with a wide range of activities across the quarter. To name a few:

  • Sponsoring and working in partnership with global public speaker and social rights activist, Jeremiah Emmanuel BEM, on his Inspire tour across London (https://www.conciliumsearch.com/inspire-tour/). Jeremiah set out to educate hundreds of pupils’ schools about the importance of motivation, self-belief and always striving for success.
  • Sponsoring the Selsdon Eagles Under 8’s Football team – winners of the Tandridge Gold Cup. A tournament that covers the entirety of the South East of England! (https://www.conciliumsearch.com/sponsoring-selsdon-eagles/)
  • Various consultants have attended school and university career talks/events in order to provide a deep insight into life at Concilium and offering a personal insight into life as an executive search consultant. Choosing your professional path is never an easy choice to make from such a young age, and from experience, we see a lot of value in ensuring we provide an honest account of the life changing possibilities on offer if this particular route is chosen (https://www.conciliumsearch.com/careers-insights-talk-at-merchant-taylors-school/).
  • An internship programme has since been implemented to go hand in hand with this initiative – at the time of writing this, we have two interns in the office with 3 more set to join us over the Summer.

Overall, lots of positives to reflect on, but most importantly lots to do moving into the second half of the year to continue this upward trajectory we find ourselves on.
